Geometers Sketchpad

In my math class I have been taught a new way to use technology over the alternate learning methods. Instead of using normal geometery with pencil and paper i have been taught a new way to do geometry. It uses the a program called "geometers sketchpad." It has made learning easier for me and has helped me become firsthand intregrated with technology.

Art Projects

In limited recources, I believe that using the internet as an online art class could be a huge eye opener. Reguardless of the schools budget it can reach out to the studentss that may be more interested in graphic design as opposed to "paintbrush and paper." Although some students may not be good at art on paper, they make have found their niche with technology.

Google Forms

Google forms is an excellent way of getting parents opinion and letting them give feedback. I like the feature because it lets the creater select the format and make the questions according to how I want them to be. The end result looks professional and it lets the parents know that as a teacher, I am serious about my job.

Science in the Classroom

I believe that using science in the classroom would be a great help to students. Instead of using animals for dissections, the students could use an interactive way to dissect. I believe that this way it could help the students get a feel for the dissections, without having to go through the uncomfortableness of the task.

KWL

As simple as it seemed, I think the KWL is a good idea for students to do. Getting to understand what the students have an interest in and what they are wanting to know is a great tool. The KWL is a simple tool to introduce students to technology without overwhelming them.

Using Flipcams

The flip cam, in my experience is very helpful for letting students get a feel for technology. I enjoyed filming and getting to express my feelings via video. When teaching I would love to give my students the video camera to experience another taste of technology. The movie maker gave me an understanding of how simple it can be for anyone to make a video. I will look forward to using videos to teach my students and also let them teach themselves.

Class Website

While working on my website for my future classroom, I have learned so many new things that I could use on my webpage. Sharing the websites with eachother opened my eyes to many other things that I could use on my website. I feel like this website is a major tool that could help me be a better teacher and help me better connect with my class and parents.
